Kay and Honey Are Hoping for a Holiday Miracle

One of the most beloved staff members at Hillside, Kay (in center of photo with Honey), has been diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. Kay absolutely adores, and has a deep bond with, Honey. Honey has been here a long time after having been turned in as a “stray” last year. Honey is stressed here at the shelter. She is a large dog, so would do best in a home without small children. Honey can take a little time to get used to new people. However, seeing her bond with Kay, there is no doubt she can find that with another special person. Kay’s wish is for Honey to find her forever home soon so that Kay can rest assured Honey will be loved and cared for and Kay can concentrate on her treatments and her health. Kay intended to adopt Honey, but that is no longer possible. Please SHARE this with friends and family and help us make a holiday wish and miracle happen for Kay and Honey. Honey is a large, 3 year old Pit mix, spayed, house-trained, good with other dogs. If you are interested in adopting or meeting Honey, we are open 7 days a week and encourage you to visit Honey and get to know what could be your next best fur-ever friend!
