Calling all volunteers!!

Are you looking to add a little exercise to your week? Do you love animals but your landlord won’t allow them? We can help with all these issues! Are you looking for a way to earn community service hours while gaining valuable experiences that are great for a college application or resume? Hillside SPCA has you covered!

65-80% of animal shelters are nonprofit organizations with very little local funding. They can only afford to employ and pay a very small staff, and there never seems to be enough time in the day for the staff to get to all the jobs they need to do. Being available to walk/socialize dogs, cuddle cats, fill food and water dishes, clean out pens and cages will go a long way in alleviating the strains that are put on the staff of the shelter. There is no experience needed for most of these jobs as you will be able to hit the ground running and make an instant impact. Help with Understaffing!

One thing you’ll learn on your first day volunteering at an animal shelter is that everyone there has one thing in common: a love of animals. This passion for animals is the driving force behind most animal shelters, and they would not stay in business without the combined effort of animal lovers. Stop by today a feel good knowing that you are making a difference in the lives of homeless pets
